许铁生

细节:

许铁生 (1914–1997) 中国出生的新加坡艺术家与美术教育家,以雕刻柚木作品闻名。他的雕塑充满东方意蕴,真实刻画普通人日常生活的勤劳与质朴,在艺术与生活之间达成了深刻的融合。

教育背景:

1937 国立杭州艺专绘画科

1940 国立艺专西洋画组

1914年生于中国,1997年逝于新加坡,曾就读于杭州国立艺专绘画科,1937年毕业,并于1940年毕业于国立艺专西洋画系。

毕业后,他移居新加坡,自1948年至1977年在公教中学教授美术和华文。

他是新加坡重要团体展览的常客,也是新加坡中华美术研究会的活跃成员。

此外,他还参与了1960至1970年代与“十人画会”在东南亚地区的艺术巡游活动。

许铁生与赵无极是同学也是挚友,两人的深厚友情源于共同的求学经历和对艺术的执着热爱。

自1968年起,许铁生完全专注于木雕创作。他认为自己的雕塑具有东方风格,即传递真实感,表现普通人在日常劳动中的勤勉生活。

他的创作纯粹,旨在再现现实生活世界,使他的作品成为艺术与生活最接近的交汇点。
