Prestige Art Gallery honoured to receive an award from President Zhang Lu

On March 28th, Prestige Art Gallery was honoured to attend and sponsor the 20th anniversary of the “Zheng He and the Maritime Silk Road International Forum” held by the International Zheng He Society of Singapore. The gallery was also privileged to receive an award presented by President Zhang Lu.

The event was graced by numerous dignitaries, including Dr. Han Jun, the Minister Counselor for Education from the Chinese Embassy in Singapore, as well as envoys, scholars, and financiers from various countries. Furthermore, four keynote speakers provided multi-faceted interpretations of Zheng He and the Maritime Silk Road. Professor Zhan Xianxun from the National University of Singapore Business School, Professor Vito Di Bari from the Architecture Department, ceramic scholar Lin Yiqiu, and historian Lin Zhaohua discussed the topic from various perspectives, layers, and dimensions.

The celebration aimed to commemorate the great contributions of Zheng He, the renowned Chinese Ming Dynasty navigator. His voyages not only pioneered maritime exploration but also propagated Chinese culture and the traditional Chinese political philosophy centered around benevolence and reciprocity. Dr. Zhang Lu, president of the International Zheng He Society, delivered a welcoming speech, and the forum was chaired by Dr. Zhong Tianxiang, dean of the International Maritime Silk Road Academy. The forum drew outstanding individuals from various fields, creating a lively atmosphere filled with rich content.

The celebratory forum offered participants an opportunity to delve into Zheng He’s legacy and discuss how to apply his philosophies in the modern world, aiming for broader harmony and cooperation.
